Karlskoga, August 2026 (Regulatory information)
During the first half of 2026, MastIT Group has continued to invest in strengthening its position as a leading specialist in mobile infrastructure in Sweden. With the market’s broadest specialist expertise in installation and a nationwide offering across the entire value chain, we are building long-term relationships with customers and partners throughout the country – while preparing for a gradual expansion into the rest of the Nordic region.
The telecoms industry moves in cycles, and after several years of historically high investment in 5G we now see a natural pause ahead of the next investment phase. MastIT Group has chosen to use this period to invest in our people, our specialist expertise and increased geographic coverage across Sweden for our five business areas. Through the acquisition of Stavre Mobile Service AB (SMS), which became part of the Group on 1 June, we now also have an even stronger presence in northern Sweden.
Challenging periods are when companies are shaped and future market leaders are created. That is why MastIT Group has chosen to continue investing in the business, our people and our specialist expertise in mobile infrastructure during the first half of 2026. We are convinced that the need for mobile communications will be significantly greater in ten years’ time than it is today, and that society’s dependence on robust and available mobile connectivity will only continue to grow. We see market conditions in 2026 creating opportunities for consolidation in the industry, opening up interesting business opportunities and partnerships with new partners.
“We have both the strategic endurance and the financial strength to meet the industry’s expected increase in demand in the coming years. We enter the second half of 2026 with a clear focus on installation excellence, which over time will lead to expanded partnerships and business with existing and new customers in the Swedish and Nordic markets,” says Erik Fischbeck, Group CEO of MastIT Group.
We expect investment in mobile infrastructure to pick up again during the second half of 2026 and beyond. AI, IoT, autonomous systems and industrial digitalisation are driving the need for both capacity and coverage, while the focus is increasingly shifting towards robustness, resilience and critical infrastructure. Initiatives for mobile coverage in rural and sparsely populated areas, increased requirements for backup power and upcoming programmes such as SWEN in Sweden and Virve 2.0 in Finland are creating growing demand for experienced partners.
With our own local technicians who have strong local and country-specific knowledge, a strong financial position and strategic endurance, MastIT Group is well equipped to meet the industry’s expected increase in demand. We continue to develop our offering within service and maintenance, network operations with SLAs (NOC/OSS) and advanced network solutions such as private 5G networks, IoT and satellite communications – and we see good opportunities in the continued consolidation of the industry. Together, we remain focused on delivering the market’s best service, quality and installation excellence.
