Building sustainable mobile communications infrastructure for the future

At MastIT Group, sustainability is an integral part of how we design, build and maintain mobile communications infrastructure. We combine the highest standards of health and safety, operational excellence and responsible business practices to deliver reliable infrastructure that supports a more connected and sustainable society.

We build and maintain the physical backbone of Sweden’s mobile and IT infrastructure. For us, sustainability means combining the utmost priority on personal safety with operational efficiency and business ethics.

Our communications networks provide the foundation for smart cities, digital industries and critical infrastructure. By enabling private 5G, IoT and intelligent network solutions, we help customers improve operational efficiency, reduce energy consumption and accelerate their digital and sustainability ambitions.

Personal Safety in high-risk environments

Working on telecom towers, transport infrastructure, tunnels and underground facilities involves inherent risks. That’s why our Zero Accident philosophy underpins every project we undertake. We invest continuously in training, certifications, specialist equipment and safe working practices, and every assignment begins with a comprehensive risk assessment and health and safety plan.

We invest in certifications and protective equipment for our technicians, and never commence an assignment without a rigorous health and safety plan and risk assessment. At MastIT Group, safety is never compromised. Whether our technicians are working 50 metres above ground, inside complex buildings, in tunnels or deep underground, our priority is always the same: everyone returns home safely.

Reducing emissions through smarter delivery and circular technology

Our greatest direct environmental impact comes from transportation and logistics. Through our Installation Excellence delivery model, we integrate planning, civil works, tower construction, transmission and installation into one coordinated project team. This reduces unnecessary travel, shortens project timelines and lowers emissions across every network deployment.

To further improve efficiency, we test, configure and quality-assure equipment at our logistics centres before deployment, reducing waste and minimising on-site installation time. We also support the transition to more sustainable infrastructure by responsibly dismantling, recovering and recycling legacy telecom equipment, including obsolete mobile network and copper infrastructure.

Where operationally feasible, we prioritise low-emission and electric vehicles within our fleet. However, many of our projects are carried out in remote locations, challenging terrain and mission-critical environments where specialist four-wheel-drive vehicles, snowmobiles and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) are essential. By ensuring our field engineers have the right vehicles, equipment and resources, we can respond rapidly to critical incidents while maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability and service delivery for mission-critical communications networks and mobile infrastructure. Maintaining this level of operational readiness is fundamental to supporting critical national infrastructure, emergency response and Total Defence in an increasingly uncertain geopolitical environment.

Secure communications infrastructure for Public Authorities and Total Defence

We deliver secure, resilient and long-lasting mobile communications infrastructure for public authorities, defence organisations and other operators of critical national infrastructure. Our projects are executed in accordance with the highest standards of confidentiality, security and operational resilience, ensuring trusted delivery in security-classified and mission-critical environments.

We operate with a zero-tolerance approach to unethical business practices and apply rigorous information security, governance and compliance procedures throughout every stage of the project lifecycle. Where required, our security-cleared specialists are authorised to work in protected facilities and security-classified environments.

By designing, building and maintaining technically robust communications infrastructure, we extend asset lifecycles, improve long-term network performance and reduce the need for future maintenance and fault remediation. The result is secure, resilient and sustainable communications infrastructure that continues to perform when it matters most.

As a partner to Sweden’s largest network operator and the Total Defence organisation, we manage telecoms and critical national infrastructure subject to extremely stringent confidentiality requirements. We adhere strictly to regulations and have a zero-tolerance policy towards unethical business practices. Our operations are designed to meet the requirements of the Security Protection Act, with fully security-cleared staff and robust information security at every stage.

By delivering technically precise and robust solutions, we extend the service life of the networks and reduce the need for future fault rectification.
